Shawn aka Turbochicken

Drummer / Percussionist / Guitarist

Known for his unorthodox and innovative methods in hand drums, Shawn AKA Turbochicken is one of Youtube’s most prominent contemporary percussionists with over 2 million hits. He has performed with Youtube sensations Sungha Jung, David Choi and Tiffany Alvord, and has worked with award-winning Singapore artistes such as Kit Chan, Tay Kewei, The Freshmen, Belvyn Khoo, Shi Xinhui and many more.

Shawn is probably the only cajon player with a percussion ensemble set-up. He performs with a splash (cymbal), a foot tambourine, foot clava, an iPad percussion/digital drums section and an EFX/looper!

Shawn is an endorsed artist of De Gregorio cajons from Spain. He currently performs at Wala Wala on Tuesdays and Beer Market with ShiLi & Adi on Thursdays for the Open Mic.

Shawn is also a lecturer at La Salle Music College and is now pursuing his phD in music.

Fatt

Guitarist / Bassist / Foot Drummer

Fatt is an adept guitarist versatile in many genres. Besides his vast experience performing in the live music circuit, Fatt is a revolutionaire in the music industry, being the founder and creator of his self-programmed e-online teaching method at www.lickbyneck.com including video clips of his performances. His library of solo guitar tunes range widely from jazz to pop selections arranged in solo jazz guitar rendition.



Known for his versatility in accompanying vocalists as well as being a solo guitarist. He fuses his acoustic guitar with bass effect , creating the richness of 2 instruments i.e. the guitar & bass playing simultaneously. Having keen interest in drumming, Fatt created the foot drumming method i.e. live drumming using his feet, no sequencing!

Known as a LIVE one man band music accompaniment – Guitar + Bass + Drum.  All instruments are played live, no preprogramming!  His revolutionary performance has impressed audience everywhere.

Mel

Bassist / Guitarist / Looper

 Mel, has been playing the bass guitar since 1987. Within 1 year of picking up the bass, he won the Best Bassist award in the prestigious Yamaha Band Alert competition. When his jazz fusion/funk outfit took part in the competition 10 years later (for nostalgic reasons), Mel picked up the Best Bassist award again in 2001.

In between those years, he was involved in many different music projects ranging from musicals (productions by The Stage Club), big bands (Singapore Winds Symphony), church music, recording sessions for Chinese recording artistes, performing nightly at pubs/clubs with various bands, to teaching bass.

Mel currently performs nightly with popular local acoustic pop band E.I.C from Wednesday to Friday at Timbre, CMPB and Wala-wala respectively. He also performs with many different musicians/bands for private events, corporate functions and weddings.
